The Past (2011-2020)

Hello February!

Hello FebruaryWe’re still in the first quarter of the year and in my quest to be more productive (hehe), I signed up for a few Instagram and exercise challenges. I’m not good with completing challenges or any form of routine but I always try anyway.

First on the list is an accountability exercise program for 2 weeks which I saw someone post in one of the Facebook groups I’m in. It’s called squat your heart out. Since my gym membership is on hold until April, I thought joining this program will be a good way for me to be more active. I decided to start a day late than everyone else since most of them are in the US. The daily challenges are posted while I’m working and I prefer exercising after I wake up.

That being said, I started with reading (continuing) my Bible reading plan and a short prayer. Then I did the 5-minute full body stretch routine I memorized from the Sworkit app (LOL) and another 5-minute stretch I saw on a Facebook video that improves posture.

Stupid me ignored the image they posted in the group with the exercise we were supposed to do so I thought I’d follow the checklist I found last year and did 20 seconds planking and 20 squats. Afterward, I saw the image and I was supposed to do 20 squats, 10 lunges, and 5 burpees. Oh well.

Aside from the exercise, we were also supposed to drink 8-10 glasses of lemon water, 2 cups of green tea, and keep watch on our food intake. Check, check, and check! Except for the lemon part, and I only got to drink 1 cup of green tea because I was too full to drink another one.

I’m also trying to get back to practicing my calligraphy. I joined a few challenges that are more than just writing themed words. There’s #FebruaryReign, #LetteringForChange, #DailyWorshipLettering, and Inscribe The Word, a Scripture writing plan.

Another Instagram challenge I’m doing is the #COYERPhoto challenge. It’s book related and since I’m trying to get back into reading again, I thought it would be a good idea.

In the gaming department, I’ve been playing Guild Wars 2 for a couple of hours mostly trying to take advantage of the PVP season to get ascended armor. I didn’t even know about that until Julius told me to work on it. I basically just play for fun and having him explain things to me or tell me what to do and hunt for. I just like traveling in the make believe world. If I can’t travel in real life, at least I can travel in the game.
