The Past (2011-2020)

Feeling Crafty

For the past weeks I’ve been talking/writing about wanting to do crafts and learning new things like sewing and crochet. I already got my sewing kit fixed. Earlier this week, I decided to bring out the sewing machine and clean it.

I need a refresher on how to use this thing, I asked mom to teach me some time. It’s a Brother sewing machine which has been with us for years now. We haven’t used it in about 3 or 4 years though.

I also found my old cross-stitch stuff. The last time I worked on this was about 11 or 12 years ago. I still have all the Adia cloth, patterns and DMC thread.

For unexplained reasons, Pooh bear is my favorite cartoon character.

Yu Yu Hakusho’s Kurama, Koenma, and Hiei.
(Or Dennis, Jericho, and Vincent, in the tagalized version.)
And a couple of Snoopy patterns. The one in the right’s finished product
was given to mom’s friend as a birthday gift.

I placed all my cross stitch materials in this box I found in the “attic”.

I decided to finish what I started 12 years ago and I do this while watching my downloaded shows. 😀

I get bored easily, so what I did is list the things that I want to do, for example, right now I really want to do cross stitching but at the same time I want to learn how to crochet and do some upcycling old clothes. That’s 3 things already, and you know what they say how you can’t do every thing all at once? Well, you can’t. But I was thinking that maybe I could change my activity every day or every week. I already fixed my sewing kit and cross stitch kit, my crochet hook and yarn are also in that kit. Whenever I’d feel bored with doing one of those activities, I’ll just shift with the next thing. And if crafts begin to bore me as well, I have other things I can do like sleep. Haha! Just kidding. I can go read more books, coz right now I’m not in the mood to read any even when I try. I get super sleepy. I got stuck with The Mortal Instruments 1: City of Bones.
