#100HappyDays Week 1 Recap

Yes, I’m back and rather late with this post. If you didn’t know already, there’s this thing called #100HappyDays, which I kept seeing in my social networking feeds – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc – and I got curious as to what it was about. So I Googled it and found the website, where there’s a complete information about it.

I decided to join this thing because I want to keep finding something that makes me happy each day. It doesn’t have to be a big thing, it can be as simple as the food you had this morning, but it has to be something that really made you happy.

Anyway, I decided to do a recap thing where I tell stories behind the pictures I took and why it was the defining “happy” moment of my day. I kept putting it off though and I think it’s been 3 weeks already. Better late than never, yeah?

Period covered from April 23-29, 2014

Day #1: LSM Friends/Marketing Family

Since I am now part of the Digital Marketing Team, I won’t get to be around my LSM friends whenever they have refresher courses and whatnot. But it doesn’t mean that I won’t see them anymore, I still would, but I can’t be with them when they have LSM activities anymore. The day this photo was taken made me happy because we are complete, or at least most of my friends are in this photo.

Day #2: Happy Lunch! Beef Kaldereta

Beef Kaldereta is one of my favorite dishes, and since I haven’t had beef in a long time before this, I was truly happy with my lunch.

Day #3: Earth Day Jam

Some perks of working at the Marketing Department is that you get dibs on sponsorship event tickets. This time, no one was available to attend the Earth Day Jam 2014 Concert except for me, and I took the opportunity to go there and see what happens and have fun. You know, just get out there and enjoy the moment. Admittedly, I didn’t know some of the bands, and the bands that I’ve heard of, I did not know who the members are. It still made me happy, because I was there, and I took pictures and met some of the artists. šŸ˜€

Day #4: Veronica Rossi, Tahereh Mafi, and Ransom Riggs Book Signing

My first book signing event! Yay! I went to this event at Glorietta Activity Center in Makati even if I have not read any of their books. LOL. It’s just that I’ve heard so much about their works and figured that I would love them as well as others did. Although it turned out quite disappointing, the highlight of my day, aside from meeting the authors and chatting with Veronica Rossi, was meeting fellow Filipina book bloggers. They are now my new found friends.

Day #5: Sunday Worship and Great Food

I heard a great message from God about Embracing Your Limitations. Afterwards, we had a hearty lunch at mom’s friend’s house. The food was awesome, the Word of God is awesome, and it was truly a joyous day.

Day #6: The Donya’s Birthday

Mom turned 53! We didn’t get to celebrate it, we normally don’t, but Praise God for giving her another year. Yay! To theĀ awesomest, hardest working, coolest mother I know, I love you!

Day #7: Finished Reading A Book

It’s been a while since I read and finished a physical book. I read Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children hoping I would finish in time for the book signing, but I didn’t. It was okay though, I finished it within a week, which is a lot grantedĀ I rarely have time to read.

So there you have it, week 1 recap of my #100HappyDays. I’ll be posting week 2 and week 3 any time soon until I catch up to where I currently am.
