i need some time to read

interviewA couple of months back, i bought Anne Rice’s Interview With A Vampire. I have been wanting to read it since i got over being afraid of vampires. I have seen the movies a couple of times in primary years, and i have been scared to keep my neck wide open for any vampire to bite.

The book is still sealed, in my bookshelf and i have yet to open it. I was hoping to read it right away, but then i totally forgot about it. So sad.

I also received a free Dave Sedaris book for the minimum purchase i did that day, i got a couple of things aside from the Anne Rice book.

I think it was last week, i was waiting in Mall of Asia and found myself browsing in Powerbook. I have always been curious with some Young Adult books i see though i promised not to buy any until i have time to actually read them. But sometime, i just couldn’t help it. That day i had the urge to get my hands on a couple of The Vampire Diaries books.

I have seen these books before i heard about the TV show, and since i am watching it now, i am more curious as to what the story is about. Right now i am on the second chapter of the first book, stopped there, and have no idea when i can continue again.

I am also planning on getting Charlaine Harris’ The Southern Vampire Series a.k.a Sookie Stackhouse Series, because i so love HBO’s True Blood. Right now, i think there are 7 or 8 books, so i need to save up for that.

You may notice that these books are all about vampires, and this is not because of Twilight. I have always been interested in stories involving the supernatural, but i was more of into the witchcraft jig because vampires scare me. It’s just that right now, i’m old enough not to be afraid of vampires anymore.

Since i already have The Vampire Diaries, i am also planning on getting other L.J. Smith books that interest me, like the Secret Circle, Dark Visions, and Night World.
