R.I.P. Tito Dougs

Some time ago i was thinking about how it would feel if someone close to you died. There had been deaths within my relatives but i was not THAT close with any of them. At wakes we would smile and laugh and remember the good times and sometimes mom would share funny stories or experiences with that particular person. This morning, Douglas Quijano was found dead in this house in Lukban, Quezon.

Tito Dougs has been a friend of mom since i was 4 or 5. They met because of Joey Marquez, who was my mom’s friend before he became an actor. We lost contact some time when i was growing up, then a few years back, our paths have crossed again. He’s the reason why i finally met Richard Gutierrez on Nuts Entertainment set in 2006. He also invited us to his birthdays in 2006 and 2007, where i met more local celebrities.

I found out what happened to him from Karla. She sent me a text message asking me about it. At first i couldn’t believe it, i even tried calling him but his cellphone was off. So i asked tita Gelli and she confirmed the news. I also asked tito Arnold for details, then went straight online to read the news online. It’s so sad, i feel like crying, like i should, but i won’t. I didn’t feel like this when my relatives died. Tito Dougs is like family, i’m sure mom would cry when she finds out after she arrives tomorrow morning.

What feels so sad is that he just invited us to visit him in his house in Lukban. He wanted to spend time and have a vacation there. I’m going to find out where the wake will be and i will go tonight even if my mom isn’t here yet. I feel like helping out there.
