post-birthday post
It was my birthday on Monday, did nothing really special. Just stayed at home and went online. My DotA buddies came in that morning and we played, in think, for 3 hours. Aside from DotA we also play a Ragnarok private server, Dark-RO. I also took photos for my 365 days project and ended up with these two:
One thing why i/we didn’t go out on Monday was because it was may car’s coding day. Hahaha! We had pre-birthday dinner anyway last Saturday at Igmaan in Dampa, Macapagal Blvd. with mom’s friends. It was more of a thanksgiving dinner for the people who have helped us in our time of need. Aside from that reason, it was an all-in-one celebration of mom’s birthday last month, my graduation, and my birthday. The food was awesome! We had seafood and Sinigang na Bulalo, but i only have pictures of the following:
Steamed shrimps, dark-inked squid1, and crabs. They are all my favorites when it comes to seafood. I also like fish but not all fish. I was so full that night and we didn’t spend much for a group of 20 people. I received gifts and money for my birthday and i wanted to buy a new phone, not an expensive, top of the line phone, but just a simple one. But even before i could go to Greenhills and scout for one, the money was gone. I had to pay PLDT for the shop’s internet connection.
Sunday was a feast! Four people were born that day and so we had tons of food for celebration. Mom brought left over Sinigang from the night before and the others had variants of foods from fish, beef, chicken, and vegetables. I’m sorry i don’t know what they were called. Huhu..
Mom was supposed to fly that night but she had to go on emergency leave because she couldn’t walk all of a sudden. Her knee hurts when she tries to step. She was adviced to have a check-up with her doctor on Tuesday and so we went. She was then informed that it is best that she goes back to rehab and undergo therapy for 3 days, that’s from Tuesday to Thursday. Since she goes to UST hospital for rehab, we decided to go to Quiapo and Divisoria when we get the chance because it was near where we were going.
After her therapy on Tuesday, we headed to Quiapo because she suggested that her old friend is selling cellphones, though i remember that there weren’t any the last time we were there and that she stopped that business a long time ago.2 It was one thing to go to Quiapo, and another to actually get a parking space. It was such a struggle because we had to pass where the vendors had occupied the streets. They weren’t supposed to be there and yet they were blocking the way. I felt like i was Moses ordering the river to make way for us, i also felt like Moby Dick swimming in the ocean.
As i suspected, mom’s friend wasn’t selling any cellphone. She bought a new housing for her phone and i bought headphones for my mp4 player and another 2GB micro sd card. Mom suggested that we get the cellphone from her other friend in Greenhills.
On Wednesday we went to Divisoria after her therapy. The traffic was awful! While we waited in the car, we were approached by 2 girls who were asking for alms.I pitied them but didn’t give anything. How will they learn to get a real job and work hard if people would give them what they asked for? I told myself before i’d bring food or even just biscuits to give to people like them. It is better to give them food than money, though that would also make them think that people will just hand them what they need.
We bought some school supplies and she bought stickers and i found a balloon inflater! Woot! I can continue learning balloon twisting! On our way home, we saw a mannequin store and there were selling wigs. I bought a red wig and took this photo:
I am loving the wig so much. Though i haven’t worn it again since that day. I might were it to church tomorrow. LOL. I like how this photo turned up. My face looks flasless, and i look good with long hair. hahaha!
I got to rest on Thursday afternoon after mom’s therapy, which was a good thing because i was already exhausted and i missed going online. I missed uploading my 365 days project photos on time, i try to edit and upload them as soon as possible, but sometimes i just can’t especially when i am often out of the house. I don’t have a laptop with me so late uploads will have to do.
That’s how busy my week was. I was planning on visiting Ark Avillon Zoo today but it has been raining since last night. Bed weather as they say.
